Request for Information (RFI)

The acronym RFI (Request for Information) in an engineering, construction, or any type of study project is the means through which project stakeholders communicate to address uncertainties, rectify inaccuracies, and request additional information that may arise at any phase of the project.

It is a formalized and documented communication method that supports necessary changes during the development of study, design, engineering, or construction projects. Its purpose is to maintain an accurate record of interactions and ensure that responses are provided within a specified timeframe, thereby avoiding any impact on the project schedule.
